We will learn:
What if you could make your mind crave anything? What if, instead of having that incessant inner voice telling you to go back to the fridge and overindulge in your favorite snack, you used that same mind power to feel almost addicted to your own wildest dreams?
Addiction itself is just a process in the brain. What starts out as a choice, or a voluntary behavior, can quickly become an uncontrollable habit that consumes your time, energy, and resources. It alters your thought patterns, your emotional responses, and your decision-making abilities... and before you know it, you feel like you just can't stop.
So what if you could hack this system and make your mind crave something positive, like your biggest life goals?
Well, that's what we're learning to do today.
Our guest is Joanna Grover. She is an executive coach with nineteen years of experience as a cognitive behavioral therapist. She first encountered Functional Imagery Training when it helped her recover from a horse-riding accident. After witnessing first-hand the effectiveness of this strategy in a client’s weight loss journey, she felt even more committed to the work. She then became the first person in the US to be certified in FIT. Since 2019, Jo has used it mainly in an individual context, where she’s worked with top leaders at the US Department of Commerce, Olympic athletes, and executives. She is also the co-author of “The Choice Point: The Scientifically Proven Method to Push Past Mental Walls and Achieve Your Goals.”
