Alright friends, the real estate market has shifted, and is continuing to shift as we head into the fall. We are starting to see more listings on the market, and things are starting to feel a little more “normal.” What does this mean for Realtors? It means we are going to have to do a little more work than maybe we had to do the last couple years to market and sell a listing. Things like circle prospecting, marketing your open houses and not forgetting about pre MLS marketing. Things like staging your listings, whether they are luxury listings or not, presentation, photos and marketing that have not been quite as critical are now going to play much more of a role in creating interest in a home. Looking for pocket listings and off market homes for sale is also something you need to be thinking about for success in this shifting market and making the absolute most out of your listings. Listings are like gold, they are crucial for your ability to market and build your business around, and with the market cooling off now is the time to really get back to the basics of real estate. Getting out and pounding the pavement, door knocking, calling, flyers, in addition to keeping up on your social channels are all going to be key.
