This week Haley speaks with Team Liza James, a mother-daughter duo that began racing long distance triathlons together after daughter Liza was injured from a traumatic brain injury that left her nonverbal and unable to walk. As a team, the pair has completed multiple half Iron races and also competed at the 2019 Ironman World Championships. This year Team Liza was ready to take on 70.3 Lubbock until the race was cancelled due to the spike in COVID-19 cases in the region.
