Why do we wait to tell the people we love the most how much they mean to us, until they are gone? In her 2019 TEDx Seattle talk (that immediately went viral) Andrea Driessen, addresses this cultural norm, and challenges it with her own experience as a hospice volunteer. After sitting with people who are making the transition from this life to the next, Andrea started thinking about how much more meaningful it would be if we shared with people how much we love them, and what an impact they have made on our lives, before they were gone.

In this conversation, TTJ(es) talk with Andrea about the gift of sharing our hearts with people who mean so much to us, before they it's too late. You will feel inspired to write your own Grace Notes after listening to this episode.

Meet Andrea!
Andrea (AN dree ah) Driessen (DREE sen)

She’s dedicated her career to helping people and organizations become more effective and capable. And Andrea has owned a speakers’ bureau, No More Boring Meetings, for over 20 years.
As a hospice volunteer, Andrea understands the profound power of open and caring communication between those who are dying and their loved ones. Through it all, she’s witnessed the life-changing effects that writing what she calls Gracenotes has on anyone. Gracenotes are definitely something that Andrea believes we should talk about.

Her latest initiative is A Greater Legacy, via which Andrea custom - designs virtual celebrations of life for families who have lost a loved one.
