In this episode, we’ll be talking about your admin team and how you can help them embrace the value of systems in your clinic.
You see, as we’re going through this journey of growing our clinic, we’re looking to automate the daily tasks and operations of your practice so that it doesn’t solely rely on you or on anyone else in your business.
The challenge that we’re faced with is that the admin team often feel like you are taking away their significance, worth, and value by adding these systems. But that’s not the case. And so, we need to help them understand where their value lies and let them know that they still have significant role in bringing in a great client experience.

QUOTES
“The value of a receptionist is to provide a reception to a patient, whether over the phone or through email or in person. It’s literally to receive a person, to make them feel invited and cared for.”
If you’d like help training your admin and receptionist, or perhaps you’ve implemented a change in the past that hasn’t really stuck, come along to one of our Grow Your Clinic Workshops where we can spend two days together, workshopping a plan for sustainable change, for engaging your team in that change.
We’d love to work with you there.

We sit down with Simon Taylor of Rehab Guru to discuss how you can use their app to create customized exercise prescriptions and how you can use it to reinforce your clinic’s brand to your clients.
We also talk about integrations, the app’s advanced features, the importance of branding, and Simon’s career trajectory.
QUOTES
“You can be the best exercise prescriber on the planet, but if it’s done on just a piece of paper with a stick figure, the client might think that you don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Branding and color could be seen as non-clinical or irrelevant, but I would emphasize to clinic owners that the client experience around branding really makes a difference to how patients perceive you.”
“If patients perceive you as an expert and enjoy the visual experience of your exercises, they’re probably more likely to adhere and more likely to get better outcomes.”

David Bartholomeusz is a serial entrepreneur and stay at home super dad who spends more time volunteering than working on his businesses, and more time with his kids than he does volunteering. He is known for his work in behavioural economics and applied evolutionary psychology and excels in organic growth of communities both in the private and voluntary sectors.
David is married to Sarah Bartholomeusz, the Goddess of Governance.
In this episode, we are going to learn about the science behind stress and burnout, the psychology of performance, and how you can hack your behavioral lattice. David also gives some practical advice and guidance on how to live your best life as a health professional in business.
QUOTES
“The entrepreneur has this blessing and this curse on them which is that when they see pain in their society or a dysfunction in the community, and they know they can figure out new ways to address old pains, they find themselves incapable of turning away from that.”
“The happiest life isn’t their best life. Their best life is where they’re extremely self-expressed by having an incredible impact on other human beings and experiencing that deep satisfaction.”
“If you feel like you’re burning out, that means that you are approaching a rite of passage or a crossroad in your life, and your subconscious is gearing you up for that, and that feels extremely uncomfortable.”
“Will power is good when you’re a teenager and you’re studying for an exam. But when you’ve got children, a practice, a partner and potentially an ex-partner, that’s too much! Willpower is not designed for that stuff. Systems and structures that allow us to develop habitual behaviors is what creates those long term, consistent, automatic choices that don’t require real power.”
“The whole body is driven by two things: pain and pleasure.”
