In this episode of the Renegade Nutrition Podcast, we had the privilege of interviewing the AMAZING Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, author of Gut and Psychology Syndrome, Gut and Physiology Syndrome, Put Your Heart in Your Mouth, and Vegetarianism Explained.
Dr Natasha graduated with honors as a conventional Medical Doctor in 1984 from Bashkir Medical University in Russia, before moving on to obtain her postgraduate MMedSci Degree in Neurology. But when she became a mother, everything changed. At 3 years old, her son was diagnosed with severe autism.
Dr. Natasha was launched into a steep learning curve, as she researched everything she could to help her son. What she discovered was that a low-carbohydrate diet rooted in her ancestral traditions, the same diet that in fact had saved her life when she was failure to thrive at 18 months old, could - with slight alterations - help her son. Almost immediately, Dr. Natasha noticed significant improvements in her son's behavior and development.
Today, Dr. Natasha's son is a successful, normally functioning adult with no absolutely signs or symptoms of autism.
Dr. Natasha has since become world-renowned as the creator of the GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) protocol - a life-saving protocol that has helped hundreds of families manage and even reverse symptoms of autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, depression, dyslexia, dyspraxia, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and more. Join us in this episode as we learn all about the GAPS protocol from Dr. Natasha, and how it could save you or your child's health and give you your life back!
