I've been working with plastic bags, which I cut up and sew back together as my primary material for my artwork for the last 20 years.

Upon working with the plastic, after about the first eight years,

Upon educating myself a little further about plastics, I actually realized this was a bad thing. 그러나 플라스틱에 대해 공부하기 시작하면서 그것이 나쁜 징조임을 알았습니다.

It’s a bad thing that plastic breaks down into smaller little bits, because it’s always still plastic. 플라스틱이 작은 조각으로 쪼개지는 것은 나쁜 현상이에요, 왜냐면 그것은 여전히 플라스틱이기 때문이죠.

지난 수요일 독일과 프랑스 양국 대통령들이 약 70년 전 나치 치하의 프랑스에서 대규모 학살이 발생한 후 버려진 한 유령도시를 방문했는데요. 요아힘 가우크 독일 대통령은 현직 독일 대통령으로는 처음으로 프랑스의 남서쪽에 위한 오라두 쉬르글란 이라는 마을을 찾았다고 합니다. 오늘날에도 지난 아픈 역사가 고스란히 남겨져 있었다는데요. 1944년 나치 소속의 한 기갑 사단이 수백 명의 시민들을 마구간과 교회로 몰아넣은 후， 출입문을 봉쇄하고 마을 전체에 불을 붙였습니다. 이 만행으로 아이를 포함해 총 642명이 사망했습니다. 독일과 프랑스 대통령의 프랑스 오라두 쉬르글란 방문, 영문 기사로 들어보시죠.

The visit aimed to underscore French-German post war reconciliation， and the importance of remembering Nazi atrocities that included the slaughter of millions of Jews， homosexuals， Gypsies and others during the Holocaust. Gauck alluded to the pain that some in France feel because the case remains unresolved. He said， "I can say I share your bitterness over the fact that the murderers have not been brought to justice -- that the most serious of crimes has gone unpunished."

A total of nine Indonesian films will get the festival treatment in Korea this week, including a biopic of Indonesia's third president, Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie.

It focuses on the former president's relationship with his late wife and medical doctor Besari, who died in 2010.

The first Indonesia Film Festival kicks off in Korea on Thursday, co-presented by Korea's major multiplex chain CJ CGV, Korean entertainment company CJ E&M, Indonesian chain of movie theaters Blitz Megaplex and Indonesian film distribution company Jive Entertainment.
