Victoria Shaw received her PhD in Cognitive Psychology from Princeton University, and completed her postdoctoral training in the department of Educational and Developmental Psychology at Columbia University Teachers College. She earned her MA in Counseling from Fairfield University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a State Certified School Counselor.

Melanie Gibson was an independent woman with a good job, multiple college degrees, and a condo in the trendy part of town.
