Dr. Kim Daniels is an Emotional Eating coach with a degree in Clinical Psychology who's been working with women who struggle with eating disorders and disordered eating for over 20 years. She's also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and is the host of the Emotional Eating and Everything Else Podcast. Dr. Daniels combines Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Intuitive Eating approaches to help her clients exit diet culture, make peace with food, and respect their bodies.
In this episode, we discuss Kim's unique approach to helping women find freedom with food and their body, how she uses parts work from IFS as a tool to bring awareness to why we binge, diet, criticize our bodies and stress out about food. Including the part of me that turns to potato chips! We debunk myths about dieting, cultural messages and dive deep into emotional eating. And most of all, Kim gives us tools and hope that it can be possible to foster a calmer, more peaceful relationship with food.
