So many of us are deficient in iron - it’s estimated that 15% of women have anaemia, which is a condition in which the number of red blood cells or the haemoglobin concentration within them is lower than normal, with iron deficiency being the main cause.
People often just go straight to supplementation, without addressing the root cause of the iron deficiency.
Which means that months or years down the track, iron deficiency continues to arise.
In this episode, I cover:
• The two main factors at the root cause of iron deficiency
• How to support iron levels through food and supplementation
• Why stomach acid is crucial for supporting iron levels

The number one mistake I see most people make is not consuming enough protein.
While nothing beats food-based protein from animal sources like meat, seafood and eggs, I realise that many of us are busy, and adding in a protein powder can be a quick and easy way to make sure you’re meeting your daily protein needs.
The question is, which protein powder is best? This is without a doubt the number one question I get asked as a nutritionist.
In this episode, I’m sharing with you:
• Why protein is important
• How much protein you should be aiming for
• The different types of protein powder, and whether to go for a whey protein or a plant-based protein powder
• The difference between WPI and WPC
• Which ingredients to avoid in protein powders
• What to do if you don’t tolerate whey or plant-based protein powders

Gut healing isn’t just for people with digestive symptoms.
If you have non-specific symptoms like low energy or brain fog or difficulty losing weight, or hormonal imbalances or hormone-related conditions, like painful or heavy periods, irregular cycles, PCOS or endometriosis, or uncomfortable symptoms of perimenopause or menopause, then I highly recommend looking into supporting your gut.
The gut is foundational to our health on a whole. It is a root cause factor for so many of the symptoms and conditions we experience.
By improving our gut health in a targeted way, we can cause huge positive shifts in our health in unexpected ways.
In this episode we’re chatting all about:
• The 7 key steps to healing your gut
• How to identify the foods that could be triggering your gut symptoms
• My top tips for improving your digestion
• The best foods to focus on to boost your microbiome
• Gut pathogens and how to identify them
