“Don’t clients want hourly, and not cookie cutter packages?”
This is a question I see asked a lot, so in this episode of Serve Scale Soar®, I’m diving in to answer it because there’s a lot to unpack here.
Are there clients that want hourly? Absolutely. Are there clients that want packages? 100%. Are there clients that think they want hourly but end up going with packages? You bet.
It’s really up to you how you price your services, however, there are differences in the way most clients see you based on if you are hourly or package pricing. Hourly clients tend to treat you as an “employee” instead of a business owner or contractor. You’re also more likely to see things like scope creep with hourly clients which is definitely something to consider when you decide on pricing your services.
So what do you do? It’s all about how you deliver the information during your discovery call. You are delivering a transformation with your packages, and sometimes, clients don’t realize that until you explain it. By showing them the benefits of package pricing, many clients are okay with purchasing a package.
Tune in to hear more about the pros and cons of packages vs. hourly pricing, what clients are looking for, and how to communicate with clients who may be reluctant for packages so that you can systemize and scale with simplicity.
