Mayssa Chehata is on the Female Founder World podcast with Jasmine Garnsworthy!
Mayssa Cheheta was one of the first 10 employees at Daily Harvest and it was while working there that she first noticed a gap in the market for candy that doesn't spike blood sugar levels. She couldn’t shake this idea of a candy that allowed her to indulge, without feeding her sugar addiction. Years later, she launched BEHAVE.
Even though she landed a Forbes feature and an Erewhon launch, the business wasn't quite working—so Mayssa burned it all down to rebuild a better business. In 2022 she shut down operations and stopped selling candy for a year to rebuild her business.
Now, BEHAVE is back and better than ever. They recently welcomed Busy Phillips on as an advisor and equity investor.
In this conversation, Mayssa explains how to bring a celeb into your business, the lessons she’s learned in rebuilding BEHAVE, and the mindset shifts she’s made to level up her business.
