How Rejection Has Made Me a Better Author

Listen Later

In this episode of The Brave Enough Show, Dr. Sasha Shillcutt and Dr. Lydia Kang discuss:

Dr. Lydia Kang's journey as an author and how she balances her writing with her work as a physician. They talk about how to receive negative feedback and how rejection can be a stepping stool to deep growth. In this episode, they touch on:

  • How to filter feedback to assure it is useful to you

  • How to craft criticism in a way that people respond and grow from it

  • The beauty of sharing your rejections and failures with another person

"When you put yourself in big places and try bigger things, you are going to experience more failure and rejection. It is normal and more common that people understand in our shiny world of posting all the positive things on social media." Dr. Lydia Kang
