In today’s episode we are joined by email marketing strategist Ashley DeLuca. From the outside you would have thought she was living the American Dream. She grew up in a small town, went off to college, got a corporate job, and built a house with her then-husband, their baby, and their two dogs! Then, in the fall of 2021 she walked away from her abusive marriage with her toddler on her hip, and within 6 months she completely rebuilt her life from scratch using her business as her foundation. Raise your hand if this is something you can relate to; you thought your life was going to be one way and then something happened that completely changed the trajectory and your life became something entirely different. I know there are some hands raised out there right now! And that's totally okay, in fact, this is probably a story that belongs to most of us! Joining us today is Rachel Pereyra. Rachel founded her business Mastermind Business Services in 2020 to change the world through operations. She works with her clients to eliminate the hurdles of running a growing business or non-profit that is focused on driving impact and sustainability. Rachel has over a decade of operations and people leadership experience spanning across several industries. This varied lived experience allows her to connect with clients where they are at and guide them to where they want to be.
Rachel is sharing her story of stepping into authentic self, reclaiming her joy, and falling in love again after walking away from a marriage that, she admits, should never have been.
She talks about:
Fill in the blank…. “If my agency’s team was perfectly in place and we were ready to take on new clients and serve them well, the thing I’d be most worried about is _________.”
How would you end that sentence?
Here’s what I know…when your agency isn’t making the kind of money you want it to make, all roads lead to one of two causes… Pricing or Pipeline!
And no matter which path you choose, adventure (and a special FREE gift from me) awaits.

We are diving into our first episode of our summer series, How She Overcame, with a heavy topic right out of the gate, and joined by our special guest Ellyse Colson. Ellyse is sharing how she dealt with running her business during the passing of her younger brother after a battle with cancer.
I want to thank Ellyse for her vulnerability in what I imagine was a difficult episode for her to record with me.

We are back! Welcome to season 9 of the How She Did That Podcast.
I’ve spoken in previous episodes about how 2022 was a really hard year for me. I was doing the bare minimum day to day to keep my business going. It wasn’t until the end of 2022 and early 2023 that I started to feel like me again, and in episode 150 I share more about how I did this!
It occurred to me that so many of us are walking around fighting battles that those on the outside know nothing about, and we often feel so completely alone. I wanted to create a conversation around this – around connecting our humanity and, sometimes brokenness, to how we navigate running our businesses through the heartache.
This series is called How She Overcame because our stories don't end at our brokenness. Our stories continue.
In this series you’ll hear stories from some women who are surviving great loss, and others who are working through their own self doubt. Both are valid examples of how they overcame. This series may be hard to listen to at times, but I know that in one of these stories, someone will hear something that will make them feel less alone – and that’s important!

I am so excited to chat with one of the members of The Agency Thrivemind today! My guest, Mary Zargarian and her agency partner with teams and organizations to leverage their strengths in business and build systems to handle the rest. She joined The Agency Thrivemind when she was very early on in her agency growth, and it has been absolutely amazing to not only see the growth in her business, but to watch her grow as a leader and an agency owner over the past year!
Mary shares her story of how she went from consulting > to hiring a team > to now owning a thriving agency - and how she has embraced the evolution of her business despite sometimes having those reservations about giving up and going back into corporate. She continues to trust her intuition when it comes to hiring and placing team members within her agency.

I tried looking up how many decisions we make in a day. The results were anywhere from 267 to 35,000! That’s quite a range!
Either way, some decisions are easy (like do I want to take an extra nap today? = no brainer!), but others require a little more to process. Sometimes no matter how much fact-finding we try to do, we just have to pick a side and take action. This is especially true when it comes to our businesses, because that action helps bring clarity. This week I’m chatting with Hunter Lowder, co-owner of Tortoise & The Bear. Hunter shares how she’s been able to lean into her experience as a mindset coach and business strategist, and support entrepreneurs in creating and prioritizing the growth of their business in a sustainable way. After suffering severe burnout herself, Hunter knows it’s more important than ever to tune into your body’s signals of when to take a step back versus when to lean in through the ‘scaries’ and take the right next step in your business.

Let’s face it, no matter who we are, we all want successful launches within our business. After all, you’ve invested the time creating an offer to transform your audience. . . but they have to say ‘yes’ to what we’re selling in order to get the results.
I’ve worn lots of hats as a launch manager, founder of a launch management agency, creator of a launch manager certification program, and business owner who has launched her own products and programs. I know it’s so important to be able to set those realistic good, better, and best goals as well as establish strategic timelines to complete the copy and design and integrate all the tech.
This week I’m chatting with Nikki Rausch of Your Sales Maven. As an entrepreneur with over 25 years experience, Nikki has a unique ability to help business owners sell successfully and authentically. She acts as a ‘sales guide’ to help them maximize the impact of their launch by advising on all things copy, design, closing calls, and strategy.
