How To Be Awesome At Being A Girls Girl. Let's break down what this even is. A girls girl is a woman who has other women's backs. For the women in her close circle, it's a do-anything for, always look out for and love with enthusiasm and without judgment thing.
And for women not her in close circle, she gives them the benefit of the doubt and is willing to be extra kind or helpful or complimentary… not because of any other reason than us girls need to stick together.
And it's not always easy. Society can sort of pit girls against each other - like the whole
Who wore it better thing. It is literally us judging one woman against another in the same outfit. Her hair, her make-up, her body composition. Really??
Whoever created that is certainly not a girls girl.
Because a girls girl knows that we all have our strengths and our times to shine and another woman's success or accomplishments or even luck, doesn't affect ours.
By being a girls girl through and through you have deeper and more meaningful relationships with the women in your life and you just feel more comfortable in your skin because everything isn't a competition.
We're on the same team girls!
Here are a few other ways to be a girls girl
-Go out of your way to compliment
-Go out of your way to refer something to someone
-If someone compliments your outfit, send them a link for it
-If you're in a group and someone is about to get shit on, stop the conversation
-Be respectful around boyfriends and spouses - this is the fastest way to not be a girls girl! To want all the guys attention or something along those lines!
-Don't let boys come between you and another girl
-Share with friends what you're wearing - if they ask- so they feel comfortable
-Will drop anything when a friend really needs you
-Remember her bday and do a little something so special to her
Let me tell you why it can be hard sometimes to be a girls girl
-Sometimes you will be jealous of a stage of life someone is in
-Sometimes you will wish you owned something that someone else has
-Sometimes you will feel like not telling the brand of your new boots because then you won't be the only ones with them. Let me tell you something - it's just STUFF
-It's hard to give someone the benefit of a doubt- but you have to.
Here is how it all comes back to benefit you..
-You're more confident - in general and in where you are at
-If you have kids, they see you being this way
-Your friends will do anything for you
-Good things come back around from strangers in ways you wouldn't expect

CHEERS!! To being a girls girl always!!
If you enjoy an icy cold glass of champagne or a refreshing mixed drink or a nice glass or wine or any booze… but don't want to feel like hell that night or the next day (or the next few days)… this podcast is for you!!
I've entered a time in my life where I've figured out how to have FUN and not wake up with a hangover- or even that crappy feeling where you aren't hungover but you're just tired and slow and maybe have a stomach ache.
This podcast is packed with ALL THE TIPS on how to have a great time and enjoy your champagne more mixed drinks or wine or whatever you like to drink… and feel great the next day. We're compromising zero of the fun… we're just being smarter about it and having a game plan going into it.
This is the zero hangover plan podcast episode!
What actually IS a hangover?
Alcohol is a diuretic. It causes you to pee more so you lose a lot of fluid. It also reduces the release of the hormone that balances your body's fluids. Dehydration causes fatigue and headaches and stomach aches.
Alcohol also causes an electrolyte imbalance
Alcohol increases inflammation throughout your body which causes you to feel bad too. And it makes you sleep terribly!
A hangover is a milder form of alcohol withdrawal.
Alcohol dulls the parts of your brain that control how your body works.
-How much alcohol does it take?
More than one drink an hour
-Does a hard of the dog work?
Yes and not!
It just increases the toxicity of the alcohol already in your body!
Here are our rules!!
-No shots, nothing too strong
-Hydrate before and during
-Zero energy drinks
-Eat before you drink
-Decide ahead of time how much you are going to drink
-Don't do the pouring thing where you have no idea how much you've drank!
-Take your supplements - just like you would to avoid getting a cold- and get sleep night before, exercise, how you feel going into it makes a difference.
-Really understand why you don't like over drinking - you won't remember the last part of the night anyway, etc!
-Stick to one kind of alcohol - I sort of believe this!
-I don't really agree with ANY of the anti-hangover things on the market. I think they are all mostly marketing and packed with bad ingredients.
Use THIS powder before and after for added electrolytes!!
-What to do if you get one!
Eat bland foods
Sleep
Hydrate
Aspirin
Learn your lesson and sleep it off
No quick fix here - your body needs to recover
CHEERS to really enjoying all the yummy drinks and celebrations… without any of the not so awesome stuff that often comes with it!
I didn't realize until I had no choice
That I could completely control my thoughts.
Five months ago, my husband went into cardiac arrest in the ICU as we were holding hands.
He survived it and I felt like I went from the lowest low to the highest high… Only to realize the journey was just beginning.
We had an uphill road ahead with surgeries and complications and failing organs and a long hospital stay.
And for the first week there was more bad news than good news and I was trying to support him and connect the doctors with each other and keep my kids life feeling as normal as possible.
When I had a few minutes of alone time… When I was driving to and from the hospital or to pick up the kids or before I went to bed… I would naturally think about worst case scenario. Parker was just about to turn five and his dad his his hero what if…
And the little super power that I realized we all have… I just hadn't really woken mine up yet… Was that we can completely control our thoughts.
And this is what I did. Any time one of those worst case scenario, scary thoughts entered my mind I simply said… I don't and fill the rest in. I don't do negative.
Or I don't do overwhelm.
Or I don't do worst case scenario right now.
And it allowed me to not crumble at a time when I need to be strong.
And I'm not saying don't feel how you feel because I believe in feeling your emotions 100% but… I think sometimes letting your emotions fly doesn't serve you.
In this case, if I broke down… the whole thing would be a disaster.
Since then, I've used this in many different ways and often and it's been so awesome for me. And I think it will be for you. Let's go!
-When my husband was in the hospital - people kept asking me - how are you keeping it together?
I took my kids to a waterpark! Because I could control my thoughts. And it helped me to be strong.
-It's like a really rational way at looking at your emotions and just CHOOSING what serves you.
-BEST PART!!!
This is a hack you will remember!
-When you start to feel in a way that you don't want to… Start with I don't and then fill in the emotion that is about to surface that you need to be tough with!!
-I don't know a lot of things 100% for sure.
Growth mindset vs. fixed mindset.
-But what I do know is this… the words we say and the thoughts we think create the environment that you live in.
AND! We have to protect our headspace and make that a huge priority in our lives.
-I don't do…
Negative
Overwhelm
Yelling at my kids
Losing my shit
Procrastination
Negative talk about myself
Negative talk about other people
Blame
Crazy
-Feel the feelings when it makes sense!!
-It's a hack for not reacting in the way that you don't want to.
AND a hack for not caring about things that don't matter.
AND a hack for not spending energy on things you don't want to.
AND a hack for not being a person you don't want to be!
-Like if you are about to yell at your kids.
-Or say something rude to a co-worker.
-Let's unpack some of these..
-Procrastination - be honest with yourself… if you know you are putting something off.
Say you've had this idea to write a book for the last 5 years. But you just can't start. It never seems like the right time.
Wake up, decide you are going to eat the frog, hug the monster and say to yourself I DONT DO procrastination.
And it's out there. You're proclaiming it and then you proceed on without it.
-Negative talk about other people.
Saw a group of moms are chatting outside of school after drop off and someone starts a conversation that you can tell is leading to running another mom down. In your head you say… I DON'T DO talking shit on other people. And you excuse yourself and get the hell out of there. Even if you aren't saying it, you don't want to be in the space where people are. It makes you involved and you don't have the headspace for that. You're out here trying to be more awesome each day and learn and progress and spend time with your people!
-It GETS YOU OUT of situations!!
-I don't do negative self talk.
You're getting dressed and your stuff isn't fitting. You start this whole… well if I wouldn't have had ice cream every night in bed for the last 3 months I wouldn't be in this situation where I hate my body. NOPE! I don't do negative self talk. Get your ass dressed and get out of there. And then make the adjustments in your daily life if you need it but running yourself down only does harm- zero good.
-This hack is GOLD because like all of my fav hacks.. you remember it!!
-Next time you are in a situation where you know things are better if you control your thoughts.. use this hack.
CHEERS to being more awesome by controlling your thoughts and protecting your happy headspace. Because what we know for sure is that the words we think and say determine the environment that we live in. And nothing is more important than that ❤️
We are living in the greatest time there has ever been… to start a side hustle. For our grandparents and great grandparents, a side hustle was called a second job. Usually done at night after our main job. That's all changed. We can all start and run a side hustle from home! I love a side hustle for just about everybody. And for different reasons. It's brilliant if you… Feel overwhelmed with life but also underwhelmed. OR you hate your job. OR you are always stressed about money. OR you want to be an entrepreneur and have control over your time and money. OR you want to be creative and try new things. Today's episode is a mash up of all my favorite tips from my own business experiences and from the 20+ years of reading business books and studying how top producers do it. We're talking side hustles and hard work and getting out of your own way and following passions today. -What is a side hustle? Podcast, online course, Etsy shop, create a product, sell on Amazon, the list goes on! -Inspiration from this podcast comes from everything I've listen to or read in business but especially from Gary Vee, Tom Bilyeu, Tony Robbins and Alex Hormozi. Here are the tips!! -Be around people who support your journey- or head down and don't talk about it Pick a partner/spouse who makes you feel awesome about working You will feel resentful if you compromise your dreams because of them. Pick someone who supports you, even if they don't agree. Don't put your power on someone else. -Don't wait for a "good time." Start today. Not tomorrow! There will never be a perfect time. There are never going to be perfect conditions to start. Best to start when seas are rocky, if you can weather it then, you will remain successful because you did it during rocky times. -Read books and do the stuff in the books Read one and act on it vs. reading 20 and doing nothing. -Embrace failure and change how you think about it Failure is essential! You WIN or you LEARN! Keep going. -Surround yourself with people who are in the space that you want to be. Don't take advice from people who aren't where you want to be. -Instead of complaining, move. Strong character is built through hard times. Hard times helps us get to the good times. Accept and move on. -Use your circumstance as power, not an excuse. Assume the world is unfair and act accordingly Stop complaining! All that complaining does NOTHING. The world is unfair, go anyway. -Never blame your circumstances, thank your circumstances for making you who you are. You can't change it or control it, lean into it. You are who you are because of the stuff you've been through -Seek out discomfort You will suck at first. We avoid discomfort. We are judging ourselves for being bad at something we haven't done before. #1 discomfort is not accomplishing what you are capable of. -Do what no one else is doing You aren't going to get the results you want doing the same as everyone else. DO what you say you are going to do. -When it's time to hire people, they have to be smart and have a good attitude/vibe/perspective. That over past experience or skillset. You will make your life so miserable. -Don't believe what other people think about you more than what you think yourself Tom Bilyeu says always- It's all about how you feel about yourself when you are by yourself. -Value your opinion over other those of other people We often think everyone else's opinions are more important. The moment you decide you are successful- you are. It's our choice. If you try to give yourself a number- you will move the number. Once I am rich then… It's the journey- not the destination. You are living your values of pursuit- that means success to you. -Find something that works and don't stop doing it. If you keep doing the same stuff, you will keep have the same outcomes. Whatever you are doing right now has gotten to where you are now. So stop doing that if you want to push for more. -Keep doing it until you are actually BORED!! because you are so good at doing that thing that works! It's hard as an entrepreneur because you don't have set deadlines. Keep doing it, over and over. We just often aren't willing to do it. Find something that works and then double down on it. -Do your best and make it above what it takes to be successful You have to do things that other people aren't doing. Most people aren't out there hustling. You can't do the same as everyone else. You can't look for their approval. Do your best, not what it takes. You must become better so your best is better. If you try your best and it's not good enough, get better. Be better and do it for long enough- you will get better in the process. -Assume you might not be right about everything and be willing to learn Most people think the opposite. Question what you think always! Always be learning!! Read and listen! Have the humility to learn and be open. Stop assuming we know everything. -Make promises, keep promises (mainly to yourself!) Destroy your reputation with other people. More importantly, you break promises to yourself. Respect for yourself is everything and the hardest to earn. YOU know what you are capable. You could have done more calls, made more content, gone to the gym longer, you could have made a better product. You lose respect for yourself by breaking promises to yourself. -Say you are going to do some thing and then do it You are busy all day but nothing important moves forward. The people who are doing the most in the world are making sure the most important things get done. Usually! It's what you are procrasting on! You can stay busy all day with stuff that doesn't matter. -Expect no one to save you except yourself. The government isn't going to save you. Nobody else is either. Don't wait around for it. -When you start making money, don't adjust how much you spend accordingly. Don't spend it all! -Talk less, do more Rather than talking about how much you are working, do it. Stop preparing to work, just work. Start with the doing. -Avoid working on the stuff that doesn't matter, work on the things that matter most, ignore the rest WHO cares what your life looks like! Be willing to not look fancy. You have to be real to you. Or you will be real to nobody. -Start something new today and keep at it, until you are good do it so long that it would be unreasonable for you to be bad Don't leave half built bridges - don't constantly jump into new things. Don't leave when you see the downsides of things. We are optimistic until we see the hard parts. You will stay busy and not making money if you keep jumping. Ping me for what tactical advice you want on starting specific side hustles! @LindsaysCloud on IG It's hard and it's uncomfortable- but it's temporary pain for long term success, however you define it. CHEERS to your side hustle that brings you fulfillments!
