What are some common challenges encountered when navigating partnerships? What strategies can be used to ensure successful partnerships?   On this episode of the Uncaged Clinician Podcast, the hosts, Josh Payne, David Bayliff, and Kevin DeGroot dive into their personal experiences with business partnerships and share their stories of how they came to be partners, starting as standalone businesses before deciding to partner up. They discuss the benefits and pitfalls of entering into a partnership.   After each sharing their individual backgrounds in the coaching industry, they talk about the advantages and difficulties of partnerships, including trust, communication, and decision-making. They also offer advice for those considering entering into a partnership, emphasizing the importance of shared values and goals. Ultimately, they conclude that partnerships can be a powerful way to leverage each other's strengths and help grow a business.   They will touch on such topics as: The advantages of partnerships by partnering with the right person, and talking about their background on why they (David, Kevin, and Josh) decided to partner. The power of working with others: “We were on the same mission, teach very much the same ways, same mindset, same philosophies, and want to do it together.” The value of being a team: “I wanted to have equitable stake and responsibility in this. And so we went through a whole valuation process.” The commitment to working as a team and on projects together is a good dynamic for successful business partnerships. Talked about Barbara Corcoran, and she said that the most successful businesses that she ever invested in were always partnerships. The importance of having other people to lean on: “Partnership requires being willing to grow as a person.” The difference between a partnership and a single owner. “(In partnership) you have a team, not just you as the leader, but you have a collective group of people who are working towards the same mission.” The difference between an employee and a team member and why control is a big issue. Owning less to make more. Incentivizing partnership behavior.   Uncaged Hack: Things are more powerful when done together. Partnership is not about you, but about what you're trying to accomplish and establishing the commitment to being a team.   Additional Resources: When you are ready…Here are ways that we can help you to grow your practice:   If you're ready to join our community of Uncaged Healthcare Professionals and become UNCAGED in 2023!
