Hitting, kicking, and other aggressive behaviors can be super challenging for parents – but when your child is too big to pick up, handling these behaviors gets even trickier.

I talk about why aggressive behaviors in our older kids can feel especially challenging – and how we can respond effectively.

Here’s the thing: Aggressive behaviors can happen at any age; kids of all ages can get so overwhelmed that their feelings fly out of them in the form of hits, kicks, and pushes. And responding effectively to these behaviors starts with having the right mindset.
