IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PARTNERSHIP, DON’T INVEST IN PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT
If we understand the prerequisites for Partnership, it becomes much simpler to see whether a person we have encountered is interested in developing a partnership with us or not.
Partnership is about two people building something together.
Partnership is about bringing one’s own relationship masteries and offering it to another as the contribution we want to make to their life.
Partnership is about being deeply interested in the other.
It’s about two people coming into a dynamic of AGREEMENT.
It’s about two people coming into a dynamic of COOPERATION with each other.
If you are looking to have this in your life as the next big step in your journey, look for people who are also interested in having that with someone.
If you don’t see these desires and qualifications for partnership in the other, please stop projecting partnership onto them.

It’s still possible to have a rewarding and thriving connection with someone that is not focused on partnership. Two big categories of non-partnership relating can be:
An erotic connection can very much thrive between two people who are not building a life partnership together. Often times, erotic connections thrive better outside of life partnerships.
Life partners regularly face the challenge of keeping eros alive between them. They have to often create distance and ‘become strangers’ to each other selectively in order to rediscover the erotic energies between them.
And great companionship, great friendships are one of the great joys of life.
It’s wonderful to connect with people in our lives over these two big categories of relating.
The problem people create for themselves is when they start with an erotic spark and they HOPE that a great partnership will magically grow out of it. This is a foolish and immature notion.
Great partnerships don’t automatically grown between people. And great partnerships are not FOUND! Great partnerships have to be built, and build everyday between two people. And for that to work, the two people have to be deeply interested in each other and in building and growing that partnership together.
