Whether we like it or not we’re a herd animal and not being accepted by the herd, through past generations, literally meant your life and safety was on the line. It meant survival. But today things are different. If people don’t like you, don’t accept you, it’s not going to put your safety at risk. Your survival isn’t on the line. Knowing this, it makes sense to not focus on being accepted by all the people all the time (which is impossible by the way), but rather to be accepted by the right people for you, where you’re at, in this particular space and time in your life.
