  • Episode 470: The Honest Truth: From Surrender to Serenity

    Send us Fan Mail

In a world full of noise and distractions, where honesty feels like a rarity, this podcast cuts through the chaos to explore the power of truth. I share my journey of being honest for the first time in a room full of strangers, admitting I was an alcoholic. That moment changed everything, leading me to a life of transparency, guided by a sponsor who became a beacon of unwavering support.

Through raw conversations and reflections, we’ll dive into the transformative power of honesty, the significance of gratitude lists, and the lessons learned from someone who truly listened without judgment. We’ll also discuss the importance of authenticity in today’s world—how refreshing it would be if our leaders were as honest with us as we can be with ourselves.

Join me as we explore the true meaning of being ‘busy’ in a world that’s lost touch with what really matters. Let’s reconnect with ourselves, our values, and the presence of God in our lives.

Today I spoke to Mitch Motivates. He is an absolute riot! He lives his life one day at a time and loves being sober and helping others.

He was down and out and now he is living a successful life helping others. Mitch was excited to tell me all about his new book, “My Addiction; My Super Power.”

In his story, he talks about going to treatment when he was one week shy of his 19th birthday and how he stayed sober, relapsed, and came back! He has been sober for 16 years and is so grateful. I just loved speaking to him and I hope you do too!

“If you want to live an authentic, meaningful life, you need to master the art of disappointing and upsetting others, hurting feelings, and living with the reality that some people just won’t like you. It may not be easy, but it’s essential if you want your life to reflect your deepest desires, values, and needs.” ~Cheryl Richardson

  • Episode 465 with Author Deb Lawless-Miller

    Send us Fan Mail

One of my favorite listeners reached out to me to see if I would have her friend that just wrote a book on, and I said yes! I am so happy I did. Deb Miller-Lawless’s story is one of strength, resilience and hope. I cried, laughed, and cried again while reading her book “One. Little. Pill.”.

I hope you enjoy today’s show. We had a great time and I look forward to having her on again in the future.

Deb's journey through addiction and her path to recovery began in Connecticut, where she resided for most of her life. For many years, her career revolved around sales and sales leadership. However, a pivotal shift occurred a few years ago when she redirected her focus towards endeavors that truly fulfill her soul: aiding individuals grappling with addiction, supporting nonprofit causes, and pursuing a career in writing.

In addition to writing, Deb is actively involved in community outreach programs and speaking engagements, aiming to destigmatize addiction and inspire hope through her story. She now resides in Longboat Key, FL.

Deb’s first book, a memoir, called One. Little. Pill. Was released on Amazon in May 2024.

    Send us Fan Mail

Today’s episode I spoke to the founder Feragaia, he’s from Scotland and went to the University of Alabama and we had a really good time on the show. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Bill’s previous job was selling beverages that contained alcohol and he saw that there was a missing piece. He saw that there was a need for a non-alcoholic beverage that not only doesn’t have alcohol, it is made in his home country of Scotland and contains the natural ingredients from his region.

One thing that I absolutely love is that Bill made a product that tastes delicious and it doesn’t have sugar! It is delicious!
