    • Unlocking Your Child's Love for Reading with Danny Brassell

Unlocking Your Child's Love for Reading with Danny Brassell

Danny Brassell is on a mission to bring joy back into the

classroom and the workplace -but when he grew up hating reading, his challenge
to change the narrative is greater than he expected. Can he get struggling
students to choose to read and use reading as their passport to the world? Or
      will his mission remain unselected?

      Life is a choice.

My special guest is Danny Brassell

Danny Brassell, a passionate educator and speaker, has dedicated

his life to reigniting the joy of reading in children and adults alike. Through
his experiences as a teacher in inner-city schools, he realized the importance
of fostering a love for reading and has since made it his mission to help
people from all walks of life embrace the written word. Danny's expertise
extends to training parents and teachers on engaging reluctant readers and
using speaking to grow businesses. As a strong advocate of positive social
media use, he also works with CyberSmarties, a platform that teaches children
how to use social media responsibly.

      This is Danny Brassell's story:

In a world where digital entertainment dominates daily life,

Danny Brassell saw a fading love for reading among children, especially those
in disadvantaged communities. With a personal mission to bring joy back into
education, he realized the need to foster children's passion for reading beyond
the classroom. Danny found inspiration from his own childhood when he
discovered that his librarian father instilled a love for literature in the
family. As a speaker and educator, he now helps parents and teachers engage
with struggling and reluctant readers by connecting them to books that align
      with their interests.

In this episode, you will be able to:

Cultivate a passion for reading in children by customizing their

literary interests. Harmonize technological advancements with the development
of critical thinking skills. Foster the growth of exceptional leadership
characteristics in both boys and girls. Tackle life's challenges with an
optimistic attitude, laughter, and the power of forgiveness. Hone public
speaking abilities and foster meaningful connections with your audience as an
      entrepreneur.

    • Overcoming Burnout: Expert Tips from Ash Burnside

      Understanding Burnout
Burnout is a state of chronic physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion that results from prolonged exposure to stress and excessive demands. This constant state of stress can lead to physical and mental health problems, including hormonal imbalances, adrenal fatigue, and a decreased sense of well-being. Recognizing the signs of burnout is the first step towards recovery, which may involve evaluating one's current commitments, workload, and lifestyle choices. In the podcast episode, Ash Burnside shared her personal experience with burnout as a high-achieving marketing professional. She discussed how being crowded out from one's own life, feeling overwhelmed with responsibilities, and lacking time for personal interests are key indicators of burnout. Ash also delved into the physical aspects of burnout, including hormonally driven symptoms and adrenal fatigue. Understanding burnout is essential for identifying its presence and addressing its root causes in order to promote recovery and prevent relapse.

"No matter what, we just keep going, and it's going to be all right. We can't ever give up. Our kids are looking to us in any situation, and how we react is how they're going to react. How we perceive the situation is how they're going to perceive it."

          Chapter Summaries:
          [00:00:00]
Adrianne Taylor is a boy mom of five. To motherhood unfiltered is going to be okay. Lots of times moms are in the middle of some kind of catastrophe or anxiety attack. If you keep a positive mindset and work through the problems at the Indian, it'll be all right.
          [00:01:00]
Aaron Carroll: I have a podcast called the relentless boy mom. He says once you become a mom, that's who you become. Carroll: You don't have to be a boy mom to listen to his podcast or even be a guest on it. He wants to let all moms know that you're doing the best that you can.
          [00:07:41]
There's a huge difference between my oldest and my youngest and how I thought as a mom, how I parented and things that mattered. Does your older son offer any kind of needed or wanted advice to the youngers?
          [00:11:49]
When you have a boy or a girl, bring them into the conversation because their life is going to be changing. Having a positive male role model in the home can change the family dynamics. I would recommend is if you are a single mom looking to remarry.
          [00:20:29]
I enjoy seeing my kids as adults. I don't like seeing them struggle. They're able to handle adulthood as best as they know how. And they're working through the problems. Sometimes they look for us to just give them answers.
          [00:22:38]
Roxanne Jones: It's almost tougher raising adult children because as little kids, you can kind of help them work through their problems. Having a six-year-old and a 25 year old helps me appreciate the younger one, she says. Jones: Being more mindful and intentional of asking them how they are going.
          [00:28:12]
Not every day goes perfect. Do activities together. Talk with your kids. Be thankful for every single happy moment. Let go of the expectations and create memories.
          [00:35:33]
Their immune systems are good, so they're fine. But because it says it expired doesn't mean it's bad. This one was bad, though. I mean, we needed every last bit I had growing boys.
          [00:36:11]
If you're a mom, you have to be relentless. I can't tell you the countless nights I laid in bed just I almost wanted to wake them up and be like, I'm so sorry. And this resolution that as soon as we wake up tomorrow, tomorrow is going to be a different day.
          [00:37:43]
Can they listen to your podcast on any platform, or is it just on Spotify, Apple, iTunes? If you type in the relentless boy mom three words, you'll see a picture of me with my five sons. You were actually on it, so thank you for your episode.

Nourish your body, mind, and spirit to break free from external

          influences and embrace inner truth.

"We've just been taught to look outside ourselves for

the answers. In essence, the body knows how to heal itself."

Amanda Kate is a Kinesiologist, archetypal life coach, mentor

and author of Divine Messy Human: A Spiritual Guide to Prioritizing Internal
          Truth Over External Influence.

Amanda Kate was on a journey to discover the truth about

prioritizing internal truth over external influence, which lead her to discovering
Kinesiology. Through Kinesiology, Amanda Kate realized that the body knows how
to heal itself and that society has taught us to look outside ourselves for the
answers. With the help of her Kinesiologist, Amanda Kate was able to release
emotional weight and created safety within herself, allowing her to reconnect
with the divine and her spirituality. She learned that often people are looking
for connection and use food to fill the emptiness within themselves. This
discovery allowed Amanda Kate to find a new level of acceptance and connection
          with herself.

In this episode, you will learn the following:

          1. How Kinesiology can help us tap into our subconscious and

          help us heal ourselves.

          2. How we have been conditioned to prioritize external influences

          over our internal truth.

          3. How our food choices can provide us with a connection to

          something greater than ourselves.

Amanda Kate is a Kinesiologist and archetypal life coach. Her

new book is a spiritual guide to prioritizing internal truth over external
influence. She will be speaking with us today.

          [00:03:43]

Kinesiology helps us tap into what's going on under the surface

in that subconscious. In essence, the body knows how to heal itself. What we
want to do is find what is stressing the body. Is it physical, chemical, or
          emotional?

          [00:11:50]

We are always looking for acceptance, validation, connection,

love in the outside world. All marketing goes into some form of shame. The
patriarchal structure where less than half a percent of people are rich and
doing well. The rest of us are struggling to make ins and eat.

          [00:22:16]

In eating, we are bringing in some form of nourishment. What

we're actually looking for at the very basis of it is connection. If I can eat
until I feel full, it's filling up the emptiness that I have from other things
          that aren't nourishing me.

We do need external scaffolding. We do need a number of

different modalities, too. I encourage my clients to go and see a Naturopath,
to be seeing an Acupuncturist. We want to do it at a pace that your nervous
          system can manage.

"The quantum leaps come from those tiny little simple steps

that you put into your daily life, " she says. If you just make 1% or 2%
changes every day, every week, it is not too long until you are on a completely
          different trajectory.

Oh, duh. Nicky you're live. That confused me. But people who

know me and follow me, there's always something going on with her. So I will
put her contact information in the show notes when the episode gets released.

          HOST'S CHOICE REPLAY

With twelve years of marriage and a new baby, Sasha Star

Robertson must juggle her identity, self-care, and an ambitious goal-setting
project to create the perfect Life and Goals Planner to help other moms.

"Through childhood trauma, I found my control freak

tendencies to plan and organize all the things, and it was through this process
that I realized intentional motherhood was a catalyst to help me be better at
managing my time, setting goals, and developing my coaching system." -
          Sasha Star Robertson

boy. She is an intentional living and purpose coach, helping moms find and
reignite their God-given gifts and strengths. She is the creator of the Life
and Goals Planner, a 100-page digital and printed planner designed to help moms
plan their days and lives accordingly.

deep thought-provoking questions, self-care and mindset, goal setting and time
