Oy-ve! I've had a chequered past with booze. In 2015 I taught myself how not to be an alcoholic because I never believed that I was powerless over booze. So, fast forward to today I have a way healthier and conscious relationship with booze. I drink every now and then and occasionally I get super drunk (maybe one day I will stop doing this).
But there are consequences to drinking: my skin looks shit, my bags under my eyes are darker, my body bloats, my anxiety ramps up.
So, I know that drinking all the time doesn't serve my health and wellness.
And my number 1 life elixir is sleep, I have to get 8 - 10 hours of sleep every night. I love to sleep and I have (over the years) created a whole bundle of evening and morning rituals and practices that really support me in my sleep quest AND make me feel much more grounded and calmer during the day.
