Lea Fowler has been an advocate for patients and providers alike for the last 17 years taking on insurance companies. After helping a friend seek coverage for their lipedema removal surgeries, she saw the huge need in this community with women struggling to find coverage for their surgeries. She started a Facebook group called ERISA Facts not Fallacies where she helps educate women and their families on their rights based on the summary plan description from their insurance companies and helps guide them through the process.
