Each day we do our best to show up as the most mindful, wholehearted version of ourselves that exist. But often we try to do this without clarity around acceptable behaviour and without properly setting up boundaries.
Brene Brown, renowned shame researcher, says that in order to show up as wholehearted people, we need to know what boundaries need to be in place for us to be in our integrity and be generous toward another.
Today, this is the theme I explore.

The truth is the task itself, is no easier, but our ability to complete the task is heightened and this leads to increased motivation, better mental health and clarity and better overall wellbeing. Let's dive in.

We all desire to surround ourselves with people who make us feel good and who bring out the best in us, unfortunately that's not exactly how life works.
On occasion and perhaps far more than we want, we will be around people who trigger and upset us. Some of these people will do this intentionally. Most won't be aware they are doing this at all.
In today's episode I share what this looks like, how I manage it and what you can do to reduce the impact these two kinds of people are having on your life and nervous system.

Being organised is the 3rd key element to building more mindfulness into each and every day.
Benjamin Franklin famously said, when you fail to plan, you plan to fail. When we take time each day to plan and organise, we have more space in our minds, this in turn gifts us more space in our perception of reality.
In today's episode I discuss ways to better organise and manage our to-do lists, ways to gently observe thoughts, feelings and our true reality; and how these things have great potential and influence over our moods and entire lives.
Let's dive in!

In this episode of the Live Mindfully podcast I am discussing deep listening. Deep listening has the potential to change the relationships we have with our nearest and dearest and most of all the relationship we have with ourselves.
When we can come to every conversation with the intent on listening rather than speaking we build deeper bonds; especially with our children, we build trust in others and in ourselves and we begin to develop a natural curiosity about the world around us which in turn reduces our fear.
This episode is 17 minutes of pure goodness, let's dive in.

There is a famous Buddhist saying: Pain is Inevitable. Suffering is Optional and an equally well-known Buddhist parable that extends on this idea.
The parable goes like this:
The Buddha once asked a student “If a person is struck by an arrow, is it painful?” The students replied “it is”. The Buddha then asked, “If the person is struck by a second arrow, is that even more painful?” The student replied again “it is.” The Buddha then explained “In life, we cannot always control the first arrow. However, the second arrow is our reaction to the first. And with this second arrow comes the possibility of choice.”
The purpose of this parable is to assist us in managing our suffering more skilfully and it has the potential (if we can wrap our minds around this idea) to be live changing.
