Lizness School Season 2 Premiere: New Life Choices

It's all about choices now. Liz Dolan completed her year as a Fellow at Stanford's Distinguished Careers Institute and now she's back in the wild figuring out what's next. There are always lots of choices to make and she's got goals about work, community and wellness. Her millennial mentor Leah Sutherland is in the middle of her own transitions, so they've got lots to share. New this year is that Liz and Leah will be inviting guests to talk about their own big life decisions. They'll also be conducting Office Hours for listeners.

This was Liz Dolan's week on the hot seat in her law school class at Stanford. The class is The 14th Amendment. The professor is Constitutional scholar Pam Karlan. And it was Liz's turn to answer the professor's questions. How'd she do? As Meatloaf famously said, two out of three ain't bad.

Also this week, Liz reports on the Stanford Longevity Project's Healthy Aging Conference. Plus, it's Top Chef Stanford! Liz has dinner at a frat and attends a cooking class for students taught by Stanford chef Andrew Mayne. His title is Senior Associate Director of Culinary Event Strategy and Plant Award Experience but the most important thing is that he's a fibrist. Remember, fiber is the new protein.

Spring seems to be conference season at Stanford, so Liz attends a few and skips a few. The Stanford Data Science gathering might be over her head but the new art installation in the new CoDa there is definitely over her head but in a good way. The Healthy Aging 2025 conference is on her agenda. So is a follow-up session with Stanford's Dr. B J Fogg on Building Habits.

Shifting gears into her Spring quarter Stanford Law School life, she will attend a legal conference on 100 Days of the Trump Administration featuring her professor Pam Karlan.
