The team kick off Season 3 with a Mind Coach who has been able to help Sean and other hit their goals in 2023. Stuart speaks to the team about how he got into running, how he started with psychotherapy, as well as where he has worked and how he helped his clients. He gives some advice to listeners who sent in questions.

The team give some race reviews and lots to get through. Competition winners, and 2 big announcements. Also introduced a review section where the team can review some kit, not just trainers though. Training reviews including Sean's start of London Training, Katie says she turned into a plodder over Christmas, Cal gets a PB in York, and Dave hits the ground running at Cross Country, oh he hasn't fell over yet this year too!

The whole team (yes, including Gav) are sat around a table at The Village in Hyde ready to reflect on the year we have had. We have some people with us while we record enjoying a drink. We even get a few questions and suggestions from the audience.

Not only running questions, but some Christmas questions like favorite Christmas song and what we are expecting of Father Christmas.

Sean, Cal, Katie and Dave speak with a Stockport Harrier who has a  couple of wins this year, including Manchester Half Marathon in 73:29 and 1st in leg 1 at the Northern Athletics Women's 4-Stage Relay Championships. Mollie Williams has PBs of 16:03 5k and 32:45 10k, and she continues to smash PBs. But where is her marathon time? Mollie lets us know about her marathon plans as well as how she got into running, and how she celebrates after a race. She also lets us know what it was like going to America and what advice she would give to anyone looking at going.

The team announce a Parkrun meetup, as well as Altra reviews from Cal, Sean and Dave. Race reviews are in full swing with lots to catchup on. Training updates are looking good for some of us, Sean has news about the Championship place at London, Cal is getting back in the groove, Katie nails a Parkrun but where and by how much, and can Dave stay on his feet when running?

Cal, Katie, Dave and Sean speak with a Stockport Harrier who has completed all the world marathon majors and the 2nd Brit to do them under 3 hours. Steve Jones has ran London Marathon 14 times, Boston 3 times, New York twice, Berlin twice, Chicago once, and Tokyo once. Steve talks about how he started running, how he trains for his marathons and why he sometimes does back to back marathons. Steve also talk about what happened when he was at Boston Marathon in 2013 when the terrorist attack happened. Wonder how many marathons he has ran? Is he in the 100 marathon club?

The team announce the winner of the Altra Vanish Carbon, shout outs to those in and out of London Marathon and they discuss what to do if you're going to London (hotel, travel, food etc).

Katie gives a review Altra's she has been given, Cal talks about not much running after London Marathon, Dave is like a kid in a sweet shop with cross country back on, and biggest news on the pod, Sean tells us that he has ordered some cross country spikes. The team also talk about how, after a big event like the marathon, you can feel down and have not motivation. Some advice given by the team on how to deal with this.

Cal, Dave, Katie and Sean speak with Andy Norman. Andy is an Altrincham Runner who has some great PBs. He explains how his dad inspired him as a junior, how he became involved in Altra Running. With Andy and Dave being brothers, we made sure we compared PBs between the two. Andy is also know for his passion for beer and he explains how he fits the drinking into the training, or visa versa. Also, Andy and Dave agree to something....what will it be.

Andy also brought the team some Altra shoes to try out, so these will be reviewed over the next few months. Competition for a lucky listener to win a pair of Altr Torin 6 too. Keep a look out on the socials.

With spring marathons being completed, Sean chats about his experience in Berlin, Katie and Cal talk about London Marathon and how it was for them both. Dave tells us about how he has been sharpening his spikes for the last 9months ready for cross country.

Katie, Cal, Sean and Dave speak with a Saddleworth Runner and Saddleworth Clarion Cyclist who has been smashing some local course records this summer. Leo Pollard fell race, 2 lads fell race, Millbrook Monster, Royton Trail race and Mossley 10k are amongst the course records she has broken. Also, competing in duathlons, she is the British Duathlon age group champion and hopes to GB next year. Martha talks about how she trains and mixes cycling with running, as well as how it running is complimented by cycling. Martha discusses her trainers, and how much her first pair of trainers were off eBay.

The team talk about tapering this week with Sean just a week away from Berlin Marathon, Cal and Katie just two weeks away from London Marathon. Dave also gives a wonderful, gripping description of the the Road Relays on the 11th September.

Cal, Sean, Katie and Dave speak with Andy Woods, a Belle Vue runner who is a member of the 100 Marathon Club too. With his first marathon being in 2001 at Manchester and his latest marathon was number 114 in Calgary 2022. He speaks about how he tackles so many marathons and how he trains. Andy also lets us know plans for the rest of the year and beyond.

The team announce Parkrun meetup at Oldham Parkrun, getting the runner up of Martyn Hett Memorial Trophy and an update on the Junior Athlete vouchers.
