Kim is the owner and founder of Nature's Path Occupational Therapy and a pediatric occupational therapist in Colorado Springs, CO. She has worked as an OT for 17 years. In her first 3 years she gained experience in adult neurorehab, specifically brain injury and spinal cord injury and continues to do PRN work with this population. For the past 13 years, Kim has worked in pediatric clinic-based services and early intervention services. In these 13 years, she has managed to take therapy outside whenever possible.
Kim has not only seen the therapeutic benefit of nature with children in therapy, but also as a mother of 6 children. Her passion runs deep for reclaiming exploration in nature for childhood development. She began Nature's Path as an alternative therapeutic model.
Kim has a B.S. in Occupational Therapy from Boston University and an M.S. in Occupational Therapy from University of Alabama, where she also received her Low Vision certificate. To better support the mom/baby dyad in the first year of life, Kim also is a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC). Making her uniquely qualified to address feeding of the infant and toddler from a developmentally holistic perspective. Besides being a Mom and OT, you can find her running, hiking, snowboarding, camping, and exploring in the mountains.
