Soybeans and meal are leading the grains and oilseeds higher with solid strength in corn and wheat holding gains for the most part. Lower than expected weekly crop ratings seem to be the reason behind the move. Meanwhile, livestock are mostly lower. We discuss the markets with Arlan Suderman, Chief Commodities Economist at StoneX, in our Midday Commentary.
Markets on Monday were fairly quiet and choppy in two-sided action. We did see a bit more weakness move in later in the session in grains and oilseeds but overall a quiet start to the week with USDA's August WASDE Report coming up on Friday. Livestock had a solid day in both cattle and hogs. We discuss today with John Heinberg of Total Farm Marketing. Learn more at https://www.totalfarmmarketing.com.
