Medicaid currently insures over 72 million people, covering critical reproductive health services like family planning, pregnancy-related care, and abortion (within Hyde Amendment exceptions). But with massive budget cuts on the table, millions of low-income individuals—especially Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and young people—could see their access to care drastically reduced.
