据路演经理讲，Janis Joplin 曾逼着乐队成员给她起个“Slut 感”十足的夜店艺名——她说，“哎呀，红宝石还是红玫瑰？叫哪个好呢”。乐队的人说，还是叫“珍珠”吧。

特别累的时候，听这个老流浪汉唱歌，他能将上帝督唱到你心里。先锋作品集 Jesus' Blood Never Failed Me Yet (1993)，是 Gavin Bryars 在1971年的伦敦街头拍流浪汉纪录片时收获的灵感。那个一无所有的老人这样唱着：“Jesus' blood never failed me yet XXXX的血从未让我失望／Never failed me yet 从未让我失望……”

关于 Janis Joplin 的纪录片《詹尼斯：蓝调小女孩》（Janis: Little Girl Blue）将于北美时间11月27日上映。本期介绍她生前最后一张专辑的豪华大礼包版：The Pearl Sessions (2012)。
