She's taken her love for home and grown it into a business where she shares her excitement about the shift in how we think about decorating our homes. She teaches it's not just about things or how much we spend on something to put in our homes, it's about how we feel in our homes. Something found in a thrift store placed intentionally where we will see it everyday can elevate our mood. Even our own habits of how we move through our homes is part of creating a beautiful home.

Melinda McCoy, is the founder of House 214 Design, LLC and her online community "The Homebody Fellowship". She is a teacher of the home and noted speaker. Melinda empowers all people to believe that they and their homes are beautiful and worthy of joy. Melinda's mission is to shift the idea of the "perfect home" to a home that is real and authentic. She unleashes a home's potential and power through live teachings, tutorials, workshops, and speaking engagements. Melinda believes in the purpose and value of home. She teaches people that homes are not whole because they have reached aesthetic perfection, but that they are whole because they are a place to flourish, find goodness and strength in their lives. Melinda inspires others to seek joy in the simple. One music filled room, one favorite baked family recipe, and one kitchen table filled with laughter and conversation at a time. A home is worth making beautiful and happy.
