Start building an infrastructure of your business with processes. Create a consistent system to identify what processes need to be documented, prioritize them, and begin documenting like crazy. Ensure your team knows and understands each process, so if something happens, anyone on the team can step in to help.

From there, your business will scale at the rate you've always wanted it to. If you lean in and implement a deep process, your business is never at risk of feeling constraint and always at a position to create higher levels of momentum.

Many people confuse reactivity with momentum. It can often feel like momentum, but it's not. Being in a reactive state is a false feeling of momentum. If you get yourself out of reactivity and into productivity, you will find true momentum.

When we're in a reactive state, our decision making narrows and we begin working in a diminished capacity. Being reactive slows down everything in your life. Remember your energy affects the people around you, and if you're reactive, your team will be reactive. If you're learning from a coach, consultant, teacher, or mentor who hasn't built a team, you're learning from a limited perspective. Ask yourself, is the person you're learning from your biggest limitation? There are too many coaches out there who aren't doing the work themselves. Make sure you evaluate who you are learning from and see if they are where you want to be. If not, you're going to be influenced by their limitations and limiting beliefs.

Don't accept anyone's limiting beliefs on who you are, your temperament, or where you can go. Anyone who has is dedicated, has the entrepreneurial personality type, and cares will change the world. Many coaches out there will try to limit your potential, don't let them. Make sure you do your research, dig deep, and understand who you are working with. Your future depends on it!

As an entrepreneur, you will get blindsided. It's inevitable. We can't always predict what circumstances will arise, but we can prepare for them. Recently I was reminded of how important it is to develop a team around you.

A team creates freedom. Isn't that one of the main reasons we become entrepreneurs, to gain freedom? So many people try to do everything themselves, failing to realize that they can't successfully do everything alone. When you choose to operate a business solo, you're not free at all. You're stuck, tied down, and your entire business depends solely on you. Without a team, you are a one-person show with limited momentum. You need a team to help you grow and keep the organization afloat when you're unable to.

It's important to remember that no one is good at everything, and you should outsource things early on that you're not good at. If you're trying to do it all on your own, eventually the momentum you have won't be enough. So, build a team and don't wait until it's too late. Don't be afraid to ask for help; you can't get to the place you want alone. Lastly, learn from people who have successful teams. You need a team so you can survive blindsides and continue to build your business.
