When she’s not working with clients, Jennifer is an academic lecturer in the fields of Exercise Science and Human Anatomy.
Jennifer has a special interest in helping people to get moving before and after weight loss surgery, as well as behavior change of any type to live a healthier, more fulfilling life. She’s a strong believer in the use of exercise as medicine.
A physiotherapist or physical therapist treats patients and uses several techniques to treat and manage injuries and pain, whereas an exercise physiologist helps to get people moving despite the fact that you may have physical limitations. It’s based on the principle that every human body would benefit from the right type of exercise. Jennifer says it's her role to know the response that the body has to exercise and then how to prescribe exercise for maximum benefits.
