Episode 130: Dr. Ryan Neuhofel of NeuCare - Lawrence, KS

Dr. Ryan Neuhofel is a board-certified family physician. He was born, raised, and (mostly) educated in Kansas. He received a B.S. in Biology from Friend's University and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Kansas prior to medical school at Kansas City University (DO). He completed his Family Medicine residency training at KU-Med where he served as Chief Resident.

Shortly after finishing training, he founded NeuCare in 2011. He now lives in Lawrence with his wife, 4 kids, and 1 Labrador Retriever. When not cleaning up after his children or dog, he enjoys cooking, fine ales, and the great outdoors.

In this podcast episode, Dr. Newh Huff discusses his journey in opening a Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice back in 2011. He reflects on his decision to pursue a non-fee-for-service model and the challenges he faced at the time. Despite limited resources and information about DPC, he formulated a business plan and prepared to open his practice.

Dr. Nasser Mohamed is a family practice physician physician and a sports medicine fellow. He attended Medical School at Weill Cornell Medical College - Qatar Campus from 2007-2011 followed by Residency between 2011-2014 at the University of Connecticut - Family Medicine Program. He then went on to complete a Sports Medicine Fellowship between 2014-2015 at the Allegheny General Hospital (Drexel-Temple University).

He practiced primary care and sports medicine for three years after his fellowship in San Francisco with One Medical group. He worked there as a Primary Care Physician, specialist, medical director, CME/medical rounds coordinator and EMR consultant for the engineering team. After three years, he joined Circle Medical, another venture capital-backed practice, and was there as an operations lead. 

Dr. Nas started Osra Medical in 2020, the most magical year!

Episode 127: Dr. Stephanie Arnold of Seven Hills Family Medicine - Richmond, Virginia

Dr. Stephanie Arnold (she/her) is a board-certified family physician, committed to applying a social justice lens to her clinical work. She graduated with her BS in anthropology at Virginia Commonwealth University and earned her MD at Eastern Virginia Medical School. She completed her family medicine residency training at Columbia University Medical Center.

She opened her DPC Seven Hills Family Medicine in 2022 where she practices inclusive trauma-informed care and is passionate about shared decision-making with her patients.

In addition to her broad and comprehensive training, Dr. Arnold has obtained additional training and first-trimester abortion procedures. She is a master at engaging her community and has become a beacon in the Richmond, Virginia area, representing and delivering the high-quality personalized care that every person deserves.
