In this episode of The Bootleg Miles, I’m finally telling the full story of my love for the Bonk Bros. But this is more than just fanboy appreciation. This is a story about the kindness of strangers, unsolicited support and finding your way back after everything falls apart.
In the midst of a massive mental health project in 2023, I had a devastating mountain bike crash and head injury sidelining me for over a year, I wasn’t sure if I’d ever ride again. But the guys in the Bonk Bros helped in the ways they could, and Adam Saban stuck with me. Now we’re working together to prepare for the Maah Daah Hey 100 and to finish that massive Mental Health Project—and this episode is a tribute to the people who never stopped believing. If you’ve ever struggled to get back up, or wondered if your story still matters, I hope this video reminds you that you are not alone.
