Hi my name is POP Buchanan. I am a recovering alcoholic. I am now 6 years sober. I’ve created the Sober is Dope Podcast because I simply wanted to share my story. Alcohol almost cost me my life. My recovery process is a magical and miraculous one. In this episode I share my thoughts on sobriety, recovery, and addiction. I also tell my story in a very disjointed and unscripted manner. My story is a roller coaster of highs and lows. Telling my story is important, because maybe it can help someone else find recovery. I think honesty is the best way to share, and I hope you can feel my heart. Sobriety has given me clarity, wisdom, health, and a new identity. I am no longer in bondage. I am free from the snare of addiction. The simple goal of this podcast is to show the world that it is cool to be sober. It is hot to be sober. It is dope to be sober. Sobriety has helped me find true happiness, and joy. To anyone reading this that is struggling with addiction, and pain. You are not alone. I love you. No matter what, you can come back from the darkness. It is never too late to find healing. You are worthy, and important. Please don’t give up. Death is not an option. Chose life, and make a decision. Sobriety starts with a decision, and willingness to change. Hang in there. Don’t go it alone. I love you.
