#TherapyToo is dedicated to exposing the hidden dangers and abuses of power within psychotherapy. Through survivor testimony, expert interviews, and investigative storytelling, the film explores the contradictions, secrecy, and systemic failures that have allowed therapist abuse to remain largely invisible.

ABOUT THE FILMMAKERS:

AMY NORDHUES

Amy Nordhues is a survivor of both childhood sexual abuse and sexual abuse as an adult at the hands of a mental health professional. She is an author, speaker, and advocate for those harmed by therapists and clergy.

Amy holds a B.A. in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Criminology. Her award-winning memoir, Prayed Upon: Breaking Free from Therapist Abuse (2021), details her journey from victim to advocate and has inspired thousands of survivors worldwide.

Her work focuses on raising awareness of therapist and clergy abuse, educating the public on its devastating effects, and helping survivors reclaim their voices.

JENNIFER KRAMER

Jennifer Kramer is a filmmaker, writer, and composer, and the youngest daughter of legendary filmmaker Stanley Kramer (Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, Judgment at Nuremberg) and actress/producer Karen Sharpe.

A graduate of the Carnegie Mellon University Acting Program and the New Actor’s Workshop in New York, Jennifer began her career as a stage and screen actress before stepping behind the camera to tell her own stories.

Her debut short film NAKUSA—the first in a six-part musical short series—was met with critical acclaim, winning numerous awards at film festivals across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. The series will soon be compiled into a feature-length project titled LIVING PIECES, produced through her family’s company KnK Productions, Inc.

Jennifer is also a classically trained pianist and self-taught composer, having performed in Los Angeles concert halls and dedicated original compositions to notable figures such as Jane Fonda, Deborah Kerr, Henry Jaglom, and Michele Lee.

Her life experiences and creative lineage have given her a distinctive visual and emotional storytelling style that brings humanity and power to the #TherapyToo project.
