Nienke Brinkman is professional runner for Nike and NN running team based in Zurich, Switzerland. In 2021, Nienke placed 2nd at Sierre Zinal in behind what would be the current women’s course record holder Maude Mathys. She then went on to win multiple Golden Trail World Series races, including the overall crown in 2022. Coming into the race with the second fastest marathon time in Dutch history as well as the second fastest time on this course, she is a strong favorite for the win.
