Over time things evolve. And that applies to everything in life. Lots of times, the questions and challenges we faced as kids, aren’t the same ones our own kids face. Not the least of which applies to those big questions around sexuality. And how do you answer their questions or have a conversation with your kids about them, when chances are good, that you never had this conversation as a kid yourself? That’s exactly why we called in our friend and sexual education expert Brittany McBride.
In this episode, we welcome back Brittany McBride, MPH, the Associate Director of Sex Education at Advocates for Youth. This organization supports school districts and youths by serving adults to provide complete, inclusive sex education. She helps parents/caregivers/and youth serving adults provide facts based complete sex education in a non-shaming and affirming way.
We tackle those touchy situations where you aren’t sure how to answer your kids questions or wonder what’s the best way to approach the topic.

So many of us are told that if we were a “good” mom that we would be able to do everything perfectly and be fulfilled solely in our identity as a mom, but guess what- that’s a lie!
Why is it that we get so wrapped up in checking things off our to-do list that we miss out on the things that truly fill our soul and help us be the best versions of ourselves?
In this episode, we’re joined by Ryan Haddon, Life & Spiritual Coach, Meditation Teacher, and Hypnotherapist. She helps women create more happy, healthy, and more balanced lives. She’s the daughter of an international supermodel and actress and had a wonderfully unique life growing up in Toronto, New York, and Paris. She now lives in New Hope, Pennsylvania, and is a mother to 4 kids ages 7, 9, 20, and 22.
We chat about our own struggles trying to let go of that image of who we “had” to be and what we found was our true, authentic self. And the whole bumpy journey that was in between.

Many of us have good memories of our parents and growing up, but then...there are the not-so good things. Maybe it’s the “My house my rules!” statement that you heard from your parents over and over again, or maybe it’s how your parents never had any consistency with their rules growing up. No matter what experience we had, one thing is for certain- our parents influence how we parent. For good and for bad.
In this episode, we're joined by Betsy Stover as we laugh so hard that we cry as we ask that question…Do I parent like my mom did? Betsy Stover is the host of the podcast “Why Mommy Drinks”. She’s a comedian and a mom that helps other parents feel less alone, by showing them that all of us are a hot mess and reminding them that they are doing a great job.
So listen along, laugh with us and see what realizations you have, like, do you echo-locate in your parenting too?

Let’s just face it. Moms are so busy doing so much for everyone, we really don’t have time for anything. Some would even say that we don’t even have time to have kids! 🤷♀️
In this episode, we chat about this with Zibby Owens, an author and the creator and host of the award-winning podcast “Moms Don’t Have Time to Read Books”. She’s been named “NYC’s Most Powerful Book-fluencer” by New York magazine’s Vulture, & conducts warm, inquisitive conversations with authors, making her daily show a top literary podcast as selected by Oprah.com in 2019 and 2020. Zibby’s also the Co-Founder and CEO of Zibby Books, a publishing home for fiction and memoir. The holidays are upon us and with them we have so many stressors, like...holidays parties, decorating, visiting family, festivities, gifts for your family & friends, cards, baking, gifts for teachers, the list can go on forever!
But many of us are adding another stressor to ourselves as well:
Making and MAINTAINING gift lists for our kids and partners!
I know- can you believe it?!
Before you dismiss us because you don’t think it’s an issue for you, answer us these questions...
1. Do you get stressed out when you think of all the gift lists you’ll be responsible for this holiday season?
2. Do you make or provide a list of gift ideas or requests for your kids to others?
3. Do you tell different people what gifts they can get for your kids or partner?
4. Do you go shopping to buy gifts for your kids from other people? I’m looking at you dad! Or brother/sister!
If you answered YES to any of these questions then you need to pull up a chair and listen to this episode because we are talking directly to YOU!
We will be freeing you from the guilt and the responsibility!

There are so many things that I wish I knew before becoming a mom. First of all, that it won’t look like I imagined, and that’s okay. That will have days where I will lose it, and that’s expected. That my kids won’t be perfect, listen all the time, and be the “model” kid, and that doesn’t mean that I failed as a parent.
In this episode, we discuss the things that we wish we knew before becoming moms with our guest Robbin McManne. Robbin is a Certified Parent Coach, Speaker, Author of the book, The Yelling Cure, Host of the award-winning Podcast, Parenting our Future, and am a wife and mom to two teenage boys. Most importantly, she says she came from being an angry and overwhelmed mom to one who has built a strong connection with her boys - and it's the best feeling ever!
