Podcast Like It's ...

This Week, Kenny and Phil break out their glasses and calculators to take a look at the Box Office Numbers of 1999. And to be able to get in depth and know what we are talking about we brought on not just a Box Office Guru but THE founder of the website Box Office Guru, Gitesh Pandya. They talk about the flops, bombs, surprise hits and record breaking successes and everything in between because in a year with this many wonderful movies there are sure to be winners and losers at the Box Office. They say numbers don’t lie so we figure out what movies they tell harsh truths about, what movies they sing the praises of and what movies we as audiences just plain let down.

This week we are double dipping on the Hunter Convington (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Stacy Traub (Black-ish)of it all as we bring them back to get morbid over DEAD DOGS AND GYM TEACHERS THE 14th episode of Freaks and Geeks. This 14th Freaky Friday we talk to them about their relationship with the show, our favorite moments from the episode and how we feel about the show this late in its run.

This week we are rejoined by writer/producers Hunter Covington (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Community) and Stacy Traub (Black-ish, The Real O'Neals) to talk about one of the best comedies of 1999, the Eddie Murphy/Steve Martin film making farce, BOWFINGER. We talk about the careers and our fandom of two of the biggest stars of the 80s pushing their stardom into the Late 90s, the film's randomly impressive supporting cast and run through some of our favorite bits from the movie.

This week we are flying high as we talk about CHOKIN' AND TOKIN', on the 13th FREAKY FRIDAY. We puff, puff, pass the mic and welcome TV writer Lauren Signorino (Fear the Walking Dead, Flight 462) to talk allergies, doin' drugs (hypothetically, if you are listening cops), Lauren's history with watching Freaks and Geeks and our favorite moments from the episode.

We begin to celebrate the holidays by bringing on writer Jeff Greenstein (Friends, Desperate Housewives) to talk about our favorite depressed icon Charlie Brown and his classic seasonal specials. If you are a fan of Christmas, Great Pumpkins, the holidays or even just the comic strip then this is the episode for you. So bang on the piano, do your little dancing and enjoy the episode!

This Week we open up THE GARAGE DOOR to talk some Freaks and Geeks with writer Emei Willis.
