What does nervous system regulation have to do with running? Turns out, pretty much everything. Our nervous system is working 24/7 and is the driver of all of the results we have in our lives. With our busy and hurried lives today, our nervous system can become dysregulated, and many people are stuck in a heightened sympathetic state. This can lead to burnout, fatigue, and pain, all things that tend to limit runners in the pursuit of their goals. In today's episode, Ariana Fotinakis helps us to understand how our nervous system controls everything in our lives, especially in our running, and gives us tools that we can use to help to re-regulate our nervous systems, reduce fatigue and burnout, and improve results in our running.
Ariana Fotinakis is a life coach and breathwork facilitator. She takes a holistic approach when supporting her clients by blending science, spirit, and soul.
