  • Redefining Medicine with special guest Dian Ginsberg, MD

Dr. Ginsberg completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Bowman-Gray School of Medicine in North Carolina before Houston’s sunny climate and the world renowned Medical Center brought her to Texas. Dr. Ginsberg has broad and deep experience providing comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology treatment, which is the basis of her special interest in optimizing methylation and prenatal genetics.

As an Obstetrician/Gynecologist for over twenty years, Dr. Ginsberg has witnessed many negative trends in the health and wellness of the general patient population. She has become most concerned about the increasing levels of toxicity observed in both men and women of preconception age, which seems to be coupled with less awareness surrounding the importance of genetic health, diet, and lifestyle in preconception and pregnancy. These evolving negative trends have resulted in her integrating functional medicine into a clinical setting, while still ‘delivering babies’. With over 20 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Ginsberg has created ways to combine the research and benefits of functional medicine into practical strategies to share with practitioners that treat women in preconception and pregnancy. Her goal is to empower practitioners and patients with the knowledge that can have a profound effect on future fertility, and improve the health of future generations.

  • Redefining Medicine with Dr. Erin Amato

Dr. Erin Amato, MD, was raised in Billings, Montana and attended medical school at the University of Nevada School of Medicine.  Upon graduation from medical school, Dr. Amato was awarded the Lillian Orchow Prize for Outstanding Student in Psychiatry and was designated as an AMA Foundation Rock Sleyster Scholar.

She completed her internship and residency in General Psychiatry at Long Island Jewish Medical Center-Zucker Hillside Hospital in Glen Oaks, New York.  She then pursued fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry through the NSLIJHS-Albert Einstein College of Medicine program in New Hyde Park, New York.  She served as the chief fellow during her second year of the fellowship and was awarded the Clinical Excellence Award upon completion of her program.

After finishing her Child Psychiatry fellowship, Dr. Amato returned to Billings with her family to start clinical practice.  She founded Montana Psychiatry in 2009 along with Drs. Deborah Malters, MD and Belinda Hartley, MD.  She is currently the Medical Director of YBGR’s residential campus and community-based services. Dr. Amato has double board certification in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Amato is passionate about finding cutting-edge, innovative ways to prevent and treat mental health disorders that have not responded to traditional interventions.  She received training in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and other non-invasive brain modulation techniques at the Brain Stimulation Laboratory of Medical University of South Carolina and has been providing TMS to patients in the region since 2015.  She has been providing IV ketamine therapy for treatment of depression and other mental health conditions since April 2016.  She is an integrative psychiatrist who looks to blend traditional treatment tools, like medication and talk therapy, with specialized integrative medicine testing, genetics, nutritional supplementation, and lifestyle education and interventions to design personalized treatment approaches that target the root causes of illness.  She is certified as a health care provider for FirstLine Therapy® through Metagenics and is participating in the Advanced Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Metabolic and Functional Medicine through the Metabolic Medical Institute of A4M.

Dr. Amato believes that early intervention is critical when people are affected by emotional, behavioral, cognitive and learning disorders.  Mental health should be looked at in the context of an integrated mind-body approach.  Especially in cases of children and adolescents, early diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders is essential in promoting healthy development.

  • Redefining Medicine with Dr. Tara Scott

Dr. Tara Scott first became involved with hormone and integrative medicine while practicing as an OB/GYN. Her empathy for patients experiencing hormone related issues led her to become trained and certified by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. The evidence-based practices she employed helped many patients conquer chronic wellness issues, and word quickly spread. It soon became clear that a practice devoted strictly to evidence-based regenerative medicine, highly focused on hormone-related issues, was needed in the medical community. Revitalize was born. Dr. Scott is passionate about educating the medical community on the advances in evidence-based hormone therapy. She is a national speaker on the subject and would welcome the opportunity to speak with your group, or answer your specific questions.

  • Redefining Medicine with special guest Dr. Cristina Persa

Dr. Cristina Persa is a Washington State Board Certified Naturopathic Physician. Dr Persa's clinical interests are chronic and autoimmune conditions (in both adult and pediatric population) using evidence-based complementary medicine. Some of the most common conditions she treats on a regular basis are: environmental and food allergies, digestive disorders, adrenal and thyroid disorders, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, female disorders (PMS, menopause, PCOS, uterine fibroids, fibrocystic breast disease), male disorders, skin disorders (acne, eczema, psoriasis), alopecia, asthma (in children), sinusitis. I believe that good medicine is based on good science! Her treatment protocols are designed using nutraceuticals, botanicals, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), diet and lifestyle recommendations, and stress management techniques. Dr. Persa's practice integrates the proven protocols of Dr. Wright along with her own experience and education. She feels fortunate to have a strong academic background in both allopathic and naturopathic medicine, which ideally trained her to have a true holistic approach and to guide her patients in choosing the best therapies for their needs (be those natural, conventional or both). There are many factors, such as genetics, diet and lifestyle, environmental toxicity, emotional/psychosocial trauma that may contribute to a particular disease and each person may react differently to those factors.

  • Redefining Medicine with Dr. Mark Rosenberg

Dr. Rosenberg has been involved with drug research since 1991. Having studied the mechanisms of cancer treatment failure, the following concept has become blatantly apparent to Dr. Rosenberg.

There are many substances that are toxic to cancer cells in vitro (outside of the body, in a culture medium), including chemotherapy and intravenous antioxidant therapy. These therapies, however, are more often then not, ineffective in vivo (inside the body). The primary reason for the ineffectiveness is that tumor blood flow is poor, resulting in a tumor that actually receives very little of the cytotoxic therapy that is being administered. In addition, poor tumor blood flow is associated with higher grade tumors and greater incidence of metastasis.

Dr. Rosenberg has since concentrated his efforts on improving blood flow to the cancer, while administering cytotoxic intravenous antioxidant therapy. In addition to using vasodilating therapy such as carbogen and isosorbide dinitrate, Dr. Rosenberg has just been granted approval status for an IND (investigational new drug) using Angiotensin II. Angiotensin II is frequently used in Japan in conjunction with chemotherapy to improve tumor blood flow.

Dr. Rosenberg recently appeared on Fox News in 2006, for inducing remission on a patient with metastatic lung cancer (to liver and spine) that was refractory to chemotherapy.
