Today's episode on Redefining Medicine spotlights Margaret Taylor, MD. Dr. Margaret Taylor is Fellowship trained in Integrative and Functional Medicine with Board Certification by the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (A4M). Achieving this certification requires over 250 hours of Category I Continuing Medical Education, the submission of case studies and questions for review and critique, along with successful completion of written and oral examinations. Dr. Taylor is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. She is also Fellowship trained and Board Certified in Family Medicine and Geriatrics. As a Functional Medicine Practitioner, Dr. Taylor typically spends more time with each patient, collaborating with them to determine the root cause of any medical problems. A conventional practitioner is more likely to have a short visit where they prescribe a pill for each ill. As an integrative practitioner, Dr. Taylor bridges the gap between conventional and functional medicine. She offers the best of both worlds to her patients.
