In this episode of the Rox Lyfe podcast I get to speak with the fantastic Jake Williamson. Jake has huge potential to go very far in HYROX. He is just 25, is a very fast runner – and we get into just how fast – and combines that with having plenty of strength which in theory makes him very well suited to HYROX. He already has a time of 66 minutes to his name from the Pro division but has his sights set on Elite 15 qualification in this upcoming season, as well as becoming one of the UK’s fastest athletes, and it certainly seems possible that he could achieve that.We talk the upcoming season, his running training, his sporting background and his ongoing work with Stonewall, raising awareness and supporting the LGBTQ+ community within sport.
