For those of you who know the show Below Deck Mediterranean - you’ll know Captain Sandy. She’s one of the first female superyacht captains in the world - with over 30 years experience in the industry.

As a teenager, her life spiralled out of control and she became addicted to drugs and alcohol, resulting in multiple arrests for drink-driving. She’s now been sober for 34 years, and completely turned her life around after she was given multiple second chances by those around her. It’s something which she never takes for granted, and pays forwards to those she meets.
