The Plus Sidez steps away from the focus on GLP therapies and obesity treatment and dives into the topic of fitness in a plus-sized body.

Sandra Mikulic is an athlete in every sense of the word—a passionate runner, marathoner, and the inspiring force behind Run Your Life magazine (runyourlife.ca). She takes us through her remarkable fitness journey, a story defined not by a scale, but by persistence, joy, and challenging societal norms.

She shares with us her love for movement at every size and discusses the brave moment she posted her weight on social media. By labeling herself as "The 250-Pound Runner," she has challenged society's normalized perception that "fit" connotes "thin." She is flipping this connection and truly lives the "Fit Has No Size" mantra.

Sandra also launched her own magazine, Run Your Life. It chronicles her journey of running in her forties and how this "later start" influenced her approach to training, motivation, and goal setting compared to younger athletes. Sandra offers a powerful message for individuals in larger bodies, particularly in her age group, who are hesitant to start or who struggle to find joy in fitness.
