Iranian/American actress & filmmaker Shila Ommi (Disney & Pixar ELEM ENTAL, Apple TV+ "Tehran," "Little America," "Charlie Wilson's War"), discussing her work at Pas in Netflix hot new binge-worthy series KAOS (starring Jeff Goldbloom and Janet McTeer). In the intriguing world of KAOS, it's the pantheon of gods versus humans with Zeus at the top of the mythological food chain as the cruel and stylish ruler of the gods, a position he has enjoyed for some time. Then one day he discovers the unthinkable: a wrinkle on his forehead. Paranoia builds, leading the supreme deity down a dangerous and unstable path. All-powerful Zeus is convinced his fall is nigh and sees omens of doom everywhere.
Recently audiences saw Shila as Cinder Lumen Firetown's resident matchmaker in Disney & Pixar ELEM ENTAL, utilizing her natural gift that allows her to smell true love in a Fire person's smoke, whether they know it or not. She boasts numerous matches throughout her tenure—she's proud of her track record—but this brusque, no-nonsense and traditional mom has yet to find a match for her daughter. Elsewhere audiences can see Shila Ommi on the Apple TV+ espionage thriller, "Tehran." Shila Ommi is one of the returning co-stars of Apple TV+, espionage thriller, "Tehran," now streaming season two now on Apple TV+. Ommi portrays the character of Nahid Kamali, the wife of Shaun Toub's character Faraz Kamali (a skilled investigator with the Revolutionary Guards), and she also shared the screen with the iconic Glenn Close, and in season two. The heart-pounding "Tehran," which has earned the comparison in the media already of "24" meets "The Americans," is must-watch TV at its finest.
Shila Ommi is an American/ actress, born in Tehran, and has lived in Los Angeles since the onslaught of the 1979 Iranian Revolution. Her mother was a poet and her father was a philanthropist, real estate mogul, and the founder and CEO of Iran's largest construction company, Vima Co. At an early age, Ommi witnessed the wrath of the Islamic regime. Ommi's father was also on their hit list, but her family had the chance to flee the country, leaving behind their wealth and all their belongings to begin a new life in the United States. Today, Shila Ommi is a prominent actress in the Iranian communities in diaspora. For over a decade, she toured the globe as the lead actress and co-artistic director of Workshop 79, a theatre company spearheaded by acclaimed Iranian playwright/director/actor Houshang Touzie ("A Simple Wedding," "Argo"). The founder of the LA-based theater group, Turquoise Heart Productions, Ommi uses theater art as a form of healing and activism, writes, directs, and acts in theatre pieces that share the Iranian experience with American audiences, and the exile experience with Iranians abroad. She is recently directed a play commissioned by the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health.
Ommi portrays the character Nahid, in the acclaimed espionage thriller, "Tehran," with seasons 1 & 2 streaming now on Apple TV+ . She portrayed the character of Yasmin in the Apple TV+ anthology series "Little America" co-starring with Shaun Toub (who is also her screen husband in "Tehran"). Ommi is also a voice-over artist and performs regularly in animated films and web series. She is the voice of all the characters, male and female in a cartoon series called "NOPM: Special Forces" which was commissioned by the Boromand Foundation, a human rights organization focused on Iran's human rights violations. She is narrating a video about deforestation, and a film about Iran… both coming out by the end of this year.

HAPPY CAMPERS chronicles the final days of a working-class summer colony in a scrappy trailer park that just happens to hold the secret to a rich life. In a waterfront campground off the coast of Virginia, residents spend their summers living spitting distance apart in rust-bitten RVs. They chuckle about the modest rent they pay for a million-dollar location, but what makes them the luckiest people in the world is more than just stunning sunsets, it's the community they've created. Beneath cliched trailer park stereotypes lies an unlikely utopia where all are welcome. Neighbors help each other out, and share everything from power tools to simple pleasures. Loneliness and isolation are inconceivable. When their affordable paradise is sold to developers, the residents brace for eviction and the loss of friendships that span generations. They hold tight to their final days in the sun. The well-heeled crowd that takes their place will never be as wealthy. HAPPY CAMPERS: NEW TRAILER: Embed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJevuuNAxfU

Eugene Wesley "Rod" Roddenberry, Jr. serves as guardian of the Roddenberry legacy, which traces back to the original Star Trek. Through inspiring science fiction projects and philanthropy, he champions its timeless and universal ideals as embodied by the philosophy of IDIC: Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations.
The son of legendary science fiction producer Gene Roddenberry, whose Star Trek series changed the face of television and continues to inspire today, Rod has followed in his father's footsteps to be a catalyst in the creation of a world where humanity works together for the greater good.
In 2004, Rod became chief executive officer of Roddenberry Entertainment, a science fiction leader with a tradition of groundbreaking entertainment. The company builds on the best of Gene Roddenberry's work and continues to develop a multimedia slate of thought-provoking projects spanning film, television, graphic novels, comic strips, podcasts and other mediums. Rod is executive producer of Star Trek: Discovery, heading into its third season in 2020, as well as the live-action Star Trek: Picard and the animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks, to debut in 2020. He also spearheads the Roddenberry Podcast Network, whose Mission Log is distinguished as the most downloaded of all Star Trek podcasts.
In 2011, the critically acclaimed documentary Trek Nation chronicled Rod's decade-long journey to explore his father's life. The undertaking inspired him to fully embrace the vision Gene had for the world and invest himself in its future. One expression of this was the founding of the Roddenberry Foundation, which funds innovative solutions that address humanity's greatest challenges across such areas as science, technology, education and the environment.

I see the film as an anti-rom com of sorts and wanted it to feel timeless.
The casting was crucial to create the tone of the film and the characters that drive the story. The entire cast was amazing to work with. It felt like a never-ending summer camp on set.
I hope that the audience is entertained, amused, touched and most of all enjoy the ride before it's over."

In this episode, Dr. Marcus Collins, award-winning marketer, author, and cultural strategist, shares insights from his book For the Culture on how culture drives behavior, shapes brands, and inspires action. We explore how creatives, entrepreneurs, and business leaders can leverage cultural proximity to make meaningful impact.
Dr. Marcus Collins is an award-winning marketer and cultural translator with one foot in the world of practice—formerly serving as the Head of Strategy at Wieden+Kennedy, New York—and one foot in the world of academia—as a marketing professor at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan.
His deep understanding of brand strategy and consumer behavior has helped him bridge the academic-practitioner gap for blue-chip brands and startups alike. He is a recipient of Advertising Age's 40 Under 40 award and Crain's Business' 40 Under 40 award, and an inductee into the American Advertising Federation's Advertising Hall of Achievement. Most recently, he was recognized by Thinkers50 with the Radar Distinguished Achievement Award for the idea most likely to shape the future of business management. He has also served as a jury for the Cannes Lion International Festival of Creativity.
Before joining Wieden+Kennedy, he served as the Chief Consumer Connections Officer at Doner Advertising and led Social Engagement at Steve Stoute's advertising agency, Translation. Over the course of his career, Marcus has developed a practice for creating culturally contagious ideas that inspire people to take action. His strategies and creative contributions have led to the launch and success of Google's "Real Tone" technology, the "Made In America" music festival, the Brooklyn Nets, and State Farm's "Cliff Paul" campaign – among others.
Prior to his advertising tenure, Marcus began his career in music and tech with a startup he co-founded before working on iTunes + Nike sport music initiatives at Apple and running digital strategy for Beyoncé.
Marcus' work centers squarely on the impact of culture and the power that comes from having great cultural proximity. His best-selling book, For The Culture: The Power Behind What We Buy, What We Do, and Who We Want to Be, examines the influence
of culture on consumption and unpacks how everyone from marketers to activists can leverage culture to get people to take action. Throughout the book, he relies on literature, case studies, his work with brands, and academic data to illustrate the "whys" and the "hows" so that readers will be empowered to successfully apply these learnings in their own pursuits.
Marcus holds a doctorate in marketing from Temple University where he studied cultural contagion and meaning-making. He received an MBA with an emphasis on strategic brand marketing from the University of Michigan, where he also earned his undergraduate degree in Material Science Engineering. He is a Forbes columnist and a trusted voice among CMOs and business leaders. But most importantly, he is a proud Detroit native, a devoted husband, and a loving father to Georgia and Ivy.
