Namakula is a multi-talented artist who has worked across the board in TV, film, commercials, theatre, voiceover, music, and stand up comedy. Due to the events of 2020, she was faced with the choice to comply with the various mandates put forth in her industry in order to keep working or take a stand for her principles around medical freedom and bodily autonomy and forge a new path forward.

In this Side Chat, she shares a bit of her personal life story and the impact that decision has had on her life on multiple fronts, including the decision she’s made to run for local NY President for her SAG-AFTRA union and become an agent for positive change.
