One of New Zealand Rugby’s big personalities, Israel Dagg was destined for stardom as a teen.
He made headlines in 2006 when as a secondary schools player was selected for Hawke’s Bay and his elevation continued at a rapid rate, going on to make his All Blacks debut in 2010, playing 66 tests.
He’s gone on to be a passionate advocate for mental health and player welfare, and is currently playing alongside 22 other athletes in The Elite All Sports Golf Tournament at Pegasus to raise money for gut health research & The Gut Foundation – a cause that’s close to him.
