Rita Brewer had her sight set on the medical field at a very young age. She worked in surgery as a Physicians Assistant, and still loves surgery. But she's a lifelong learner, and continues to explore and finds ways to grow.
After going through all the conventional treatments for her autoimmune disease - without success - she began a search for integrative therapies: energy medicine, lifestyle medicine, and functional medicine.
That's where she found healing.
Tired of a system that doesn't allow flexibility, she transitioned out of conventional medicine and started her health coaching practice incorporating the different integrative therapies she learned along the way. In this conversation, Rita discusses her life as someone who has a foot in both allopathic medicine and integrative practices, the limitations of conventional medicine, and her hopes to provide a holistic health environment.
